Knitwear rocks!
Knitwear old-fashioned and dowdy? The exhibition UNRAVEL. Knitwear in Fashion will challenge certain established ideas and show that far from being old-fashioned and dowdy- knitting is highly versatile, luxurious and a continuing source of inspiration for high end fashion.

Yellow Power
After a cold winter we anxiously wait for the summer to arrive especially for its hot temperatures and its bright sun. It is this glowing ball nestled in the blue sky to give us the good mood lost in the freezing seasons. Flipping through our closet we look for the right colour to express joy, energy, strength. Our choice therefore goes to yellow, the colour of the sweet sicilian lemons that wake up all our senses. The queen also chose it at the royal wedding, her outfit was synonymous of strong personality as yellow suggests. Extroversion, lightness, growth and change are the main goals of this new season, we therefore unloose our hair and face the summer breeze with new energy due not only to our smile but also to our shiny yellow outfits.
Various famous brands have chosen this colour to give an energetic flavour to their collections…with the motto “yellow power” we then step into the summer.

Royal Wedding
The smell of spring is in the air. Along with the flower blossoms love bursts out. Passion and bouquets are the perfect ingredients for a wedding cake so future brides and grooms start setting up everything for the big day. The main characters of this moment are, however, William and Catherine, the royal couple that has just wed last Friday in Westminster's Abbey. The world press, as most of us, has followed the event with great enthusiasm and curiosity. Numerous bets were thrown over the Queen's outfit, Catherine's hairstyle and obviously the wedding dress. Her majesty's choice of yellow has been very discussed and Valentino Garavani preferred not to comment the colour, a lack of style in his opinion? The result was as always very british and the Queen found the approval of all even if her lemon juice allure was defined as 'quite peculiar'.
David Cameron's wife Samantha also forgot her tights but worse she preferred not to wear a hat to match her Christopher Kane green dress: bad taste or the will of showing a less elitaire politics?
Filippa, the bridesmaid and Kate's sister, was sensual and elegant wearing an Alice Temperley white dress. Critics found it a little too sexy but apparently the men's approval was outstanding, will she be the next to go to the altar ?
Socialites and posh spicy girls attended the event. Victoria Beakham walked along Westminster's navy with a midnight blue self made dress. Even if pregnant she did not give up her Louboutin's 'Daffodile' court shoes, excessively tall for the occasion. Tara Palmer-Tomkinson chose an electric blue Deborah Milner outfit that she completed with a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. Both ladies were very fashionable but the ex spice girl was too dark and Tara's naked shoulder was a little too much for a religious mass.
Chelsy Davy in Alberta Ferretti didn't glow for elegance, the shape of the tailleur wasn't probably the best solution to her soft curves, other that her hairstyle : quite messy and "unroyal".
Elegant and sophisticated were instead Charlene Wittstock, Letizia Ortiz and Carole Middleton.
Exquisite was the choice of Charlene: an Akris grey outfit combined to cream colored gloves , a perfect accessory that just a few of the present ladies adopted, a simple hat and a plain pochette.
Letizia Ortiz brought us back to the 30s charme. Her skin colour melted to the tones of the pink of the dress. The rich details of the gown were justified by the 'ton sur ton' solution and the round shaped hat over her skinny figure gave sweetiness to her look ( again completed by a pair of long gloves).
Last but not least comes the bride's mother. Mrs Middleton gave a twist to her light blue outfit by adding alamaris. Like her daughter she kept her hair loose but alltogether she looked elegant and ready to step in the royal family and wave from Buckingham Palace's balcony.
